Thinking of taking on an apprentice?

Employing apprentices or trainees can provide real benefits for your business. They contribute significantly to your bottom line; you can train an apprentice to be the perfect fit for your specific business requirements. You will be ensuring a skilled and eager workforce, which is essential for securing the future of the industry.

Let us do the hard work for you

TACC advertises, interviews and selects the best possible applicants. Each candidate must:

  • Complete year 10
  • Pass an aptitude test
  • Undergo an interview
  • Pass a medical assessment

We even take care of all administration tasks such as wages, superannuation, workers' compensation insurance and leave calculations. We also pay when the apprentice is sick or on holidays. You only pay wages when your apprentice is at work or TAFE.

Trade qualified and experienced field officers regularly visit workplaces and TAFE to monitor the progress of apprentices/trainees, discuss any issues that arise and mediate if required.
